Observ. is a switchable mirror attaches to a building on the street , recording and analyzing people's reaction by applying motion Capture technic.  




She decided walking closer and started looking into the mirror.


She passed a building and saw a mirror mounted on the wall.


On a cozy Sunday morning, Yuning was walking on the street. 


Her reflection in the mirror suddenly posed a ver different pose and scared her. Yuning was taken aback and really surprised. 


Observ. Mirror captured her every movement just as a normal mirror.


Finally Yuning felt this experiment is interesting. And walked away.


The girl in the mirror walked out from the mirror and say hi to Yuning. Alicia then realized that they are doing an experiment about people watching.


The mirror turns transparent, a person is appearing and showing her face, smiling at Yuning. Yuning got shocked. She never thought that this is not a real mirror.


Then Yuning found the reflection in the Observ. Mirror didn’t have the same emotion with her, she’s a little confused. She carefully walked closer and closer, and looked into the mirror.

Technical Support

Real-Time Motion Capture

The  movements of a person are captured in real time along with their everyday clothes. In contrast to classic motion capturing methods, no special suit with marks is required to capture the movements of the individual body parts exactly. Also the deformations of the clothes during the movements of humans are captured and can be used by digital model.

Switchable  Mirror Glass

A switchable glass is glass with adjustable transparency or color, or  reflective properties.

Scientific  Research

Scientists from Japan have recently designed new technology that will make windows seem to disappear by turning clear, transparent glass into mirrors.

Two glass sheets of 60 x 70 cm (24 x 28 in) made up the window structure, and each had an interior coating of 40-nm-thick magnesium-titanium alloy, plus a 4-nm-thick layer of palladium.
